Long time no see! It has been a minute - yes?
I am still here doing my vegan thing! Cooking up recipes, talking with folks every morning, and even doing a few live cooking demos! Plus, I even got invited to this year’s Portland VegFest to cook up some of my best damn vegan chili LIVE (like actually in front of real people)🤪.
But why haven’t I seen this on your website you may ask?
Well, sadly, the way google has been updating their search engine algorithms, and the way my ad income has dropped over the years, my website just isn’t the best place to post new content anymore. I know - sad, right?
I used to like to share my recipes and my stories to show you that eating healthier doesn’t have to mean you give up all of the foods you loved! But now it’s almost like you have to write for GOOGLE now, using the correct format, with the right keywords, and hoping against hope you even show up on google’s search results where people might find you!
I’ll be honest - I do not like that style of writing. I write from my heart, and share my story behind the recipe as well as the recipe itself. Call me old school, but that is how I was taught.
So I am not writing much for brandnewvegan.com these days.
No worries! My website is not going anywhere, but at this point much of my NEW content will be shared exclusively with my BNV Community. It is a paid membership community where people like us who might be new to this whole lifestyle/diet change can come and be a part of a community of caring, like-minded people.
Just a few of the advantages are:
No ads!
Daily LIVE chat to answer questions and just spend time with people who support you
Exclusive recipes not found anywhere else
Live cooking demos
Book club
Tons of videos and documentaries
Challenges to help you lose weight, lower BP, or just feel better!
We include exercise tips, ways to cope with stress, pantry ideas, and of course - tons of recipes, and not just mine but other members who love to cook
But most importantly of all (I think), is to be a part of a community who truly cares about your well being. Many of our members are not even fully vegan, and that’s ok! We will meet you wherever you are.
No judgement, no snarkiness, no anything negativewe have all experienced in some of those Facebook groups….. just kind, caring people who truly want to see you succeed.
But as I said - if this is not for you - that’s ok too as I still have over 400 recipes on my website for you to enjoy. But if you would like a peek at what goes on BEHIND the scenes, get some new ideas or recipes, or just want someone to buddy aloing with - my BNV Community might be just the thing.
We would love to have you join us!
And those postickers? Deeeliscous! My wife and daughter devour them! Easy to make and 100% oil-free.
Hope you are all safe and sound after this series of monster storms and I promise I’ll get back to writing the weekly newsletter.
Y’all be safe and here is the link to my BNV Community if you are interested.

I’ve been contributing to Patreon monthly for a long time now. Is that no longer helpful to you?
Chuck, glad you are still writing and eating Vegan. I hope you are well. Take care.
