Orange Chicken Night 🍊

There was a time when takeout night felt like a reward.

Long day. Too tired to cook. Everybody hungry. So you grab the orange chicken, fried rice, maybe some noodles, and call it dinner.

And honestly? I still love those flavors.

That sweet, sticky orange sauce.
The crispy bites.
The comfort of it all.

But these days, I also know how heavy restaurant food can leave us feeling afterward. Too much oil. Too much salt. Too much “ugh, why did I eat all that?”

That’s really the heart behind this entire Better Than Takeout workshop.

  • NOT deprivation

  • NOT “diet food.”

  • NOT giving up the meals we love

Just learning how to recreate those familiar comfort foods at home in a way that feels lighter, healthier, cheaper
 and surprisingly easy.

This week’s recipe is my wife’s favorite.

🍊 Plant-Based Orange Chicken

Sticky. Sweet. Tangy. Kind of crispy around the edges. Exactly the kind of meal that makes people say: “Wait
 THIS is plant-based?!”

And the best part is you don’t need fancy ingredients or restaurant equipment to pull it off.

That’s kind of my whole philosophy these days.

I think we make healthy eating way harder than it needs to be.

  • You don’t need expensive ingredients

  • You don’t need complicated meal plans

  • And you definitely don’t need to survive on rabbit food

Sometimes all it takes is learning how to make the foods you already love
 just a little differently.
