Back to Basics Workshop - Intro

Starting tomorrow and running the entire month of March

I’m officially kicking off a Back to Basics Workshop tomorrow.

And yes — we’re starting with rice. I know. Not exactly thrilling.

BUT….. after 17 years of doing this, I can tell you something — it’s not the complicated recipes that trip people up.

It’s the simple things people don’t feel confident about.

  • Rice that’s gummy

  • Rice that burns

  • Rice that turns into paste

  • Rice that comes out crunchy and you don’t know why

And when the base of the meal doesn’t go right? Everything feels harder than it needs to be.

So this first week is about getting one thing dialed in.

We’re making white rice three ways:

  • Rice cooker

  • Instant Pot

  • Stovetop

Use what you’ve got. If you love your Instant Pot, great. If you’ve got a basic rice cooker, perfect. If all you have is a skillet with a lid? You’re covered.

I’m hoping this workshop helps prepare you for the next reset, that’s the goal anyway.

Because one thing that tripped some of you up during the last reset was not having food already prepared. If you have something tasty and ready to eat on those super busy days - it makes sticking to the reset a whole lot easier.

I can tell you from personal experience - these resets work. Since the last Reset, I’m down about 20 pounds and my blood pressure is normal again.

  • Just simple meals like I am going to show you

  • Moving every day.

  • Keeping stress down where I can

  • Staying consistent.

Back to basics worked for me ….. and tomorrow we start with rice.
